How to Change The Oil

Today Rachel and Dad changed out the headlight in our car:

The old one was filmed over and the light was dim. The dealership (before we bought it) had only replaced one of the headlights to a new one so we wanted to have it matching and be able to see better at night.

It took a while and the sun was starting to set, but we got it done.

The Florida Aquarium

Today we visited the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, Florida:

We got to touch non-stinging jelly fish:

The ducks outside were so cute:

Not sure what type of bird this is but I think his name is “Stan”:

Back inside to the actual aquarium:

We petted the stingray!:

Although it’s a small facility, the exhibits were very nice and we had a wonderful time at the Florida Aquarium!

Random Guy

Lizzy was busy tonight and couldn’t join us, but Rachel, Dad and Mom went to a UF gymnastics meet and this random guy approached us outside and said he had seats in the good section and offered them to us. We sat with him and enjoyed the good seats!

Happy Halloween

We decided to have a “Good Samaritan” trunk for Trunk-n-Treat at church:

We had a chili cook-off before the trunk-n-treating.

Mom handed out the band-aides and had the kids go help the injured person (Lizzy) by putting a band-aide on her:

Dad was the one to guide them to the injured one needing help:

Rachel was the Inn Keeper with the candy:

Lizzy had A LOT of band-aides stuck to her at the end of the trunk-n-treating from all the “Good Samaritans”.

More Hurricane Helene Clean-up!

10/13/24

The panhandle is still cleaning up from the hurricane, so Lizzy, Dad and Mom went back to help:

Bobby Cooper helped out on the tractor for a while.

We didn’t have much to do at the first site so we went to the next:

Bishop Cooper took over the tractor.

The homeowner pitched right in:

We worked hard here and accomplished a lot!

One more site before we call it a day:

Hurricane Helen Clean-Up

10/5/24

Although Gainesville didn’t get hit by the storm we were called to help out in the panhandle where they had a direct hit. Lizzy, Dad and Mom headed out first thing in the morning:

We got to the staging place and mom braised Lizzy’s hair while dad checked us in:

Brother and Sister Anderson were also assigned to our worksite location. They worked a a great team!

More helpers came:

Lizzy had slight injury but wont give up that easily!

We had a tractor at this location!!

Dad broke another boot!

That didn’t stop him either!
