Camp Kiwanis Day One: 7/18/23

We are going to have so much fun here!
The games and activities have begun!
We split up by cabins and did activities.

It was a military boot camp theme this year with each cabin assigned a different branch:

Rachel and Mom’s cabin was The Air Force.

Time for the flag ceremony where were presented our flags:

Lizzy is a YCL (Youth Camp Leader) and they were Coast Guard.
Lizzy was over the 4th year cabin.
Rachel’s cabin: Air Force.
The cabins are air conditioned and mom has her bunk all set up like she likes it by the front door.

Time to go to the fireside:

The stake YW leaders had a “sword” fight.

They sang a battle song:

We sang camp songs and had a nice fireside activity.

Day Two: 7/19/23

Thanks Mom for braiding my hair:

Time to go to flag ceremony, chow, and start the day’s activities:

Rachel’s cabin won again for chores this time so they got the commode to display outside their cabin! It’s really early in the morning so Rachel’s smile has not awaken yet!

Time for camp cheers and chow:

After our relay race competitions we enjoyed boating and swimming:

Later that evening we had time in the cabins with our YCL leaders:
