12/05/22

We went to the hospital Christmas lights for Family Home Evening:

The stairway down is always nicely decorated.

Lizzy and Rachel HAVE TO roll down the hill!

Rachel likes to go super-fast!
Lizzy never tires of it!
The happy couple!
Snowman!

Mother-Daughter pic!

This wall has also been a favorite to walk on.

Another mother-daughter pic!

Back around to the rolling hill again. this time just for a posed pic with mom.
That is always a family fun way to get in the Holiday lights!

Oh Christmas Tree!

11/25/22

We went to a new (to us) u-cut Christmas tree farm:

Jones’ Christmas Trees in Branford.

We searched for the perfect tree.

Nice, but not quite right.

All the trees on the lot were on the short side, but we will make it work.

We decided on this one.

We get to cut it down now:

It’s harder than you would think…
Rachel tried too…
Dad’s got this!

Rachel has no problem caring it!

No problem at all!
It was a bit of a walk to the car. I guess we could have driven closer to the tree we picked!

Time to shake out the bugs and old pine needles:

Because the tree was a little on the short side we put it up on a box:

Sprayed some “Snow” on the branches:

Time to decorate!

Of course we can’t forget candy canes!:

Can’t forget the good luck bird and nest!

Decorations everywhere!

Grandma in heaven’s (mom’s mom) Avon Nativity.
Lizzy’s nativity she got from Sister Hawkins when she was in Primary.
Ornaments from Ms. Ruby (our neighbor who passed away a couple of years ago).
The neighbors get a nice view from the front of the house.
Our front door.
Bunya’s Tree.
On the back door a wreath mom made last year.

Later we even out up a small tree on the back porch!

We are definitely in the Christmas cheer!

We are expecting Franklin and the Tanner Family (Franklin Jr. will arrive later after work).
The food table is ready to be filled!
Yum!!!
All present and ready to eat!
Luna was more than ready!

The Tanners brought over a fun game:

We all had a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Caving

11/12/22

Mom, Dad, and Lizzy went out to Brother Castillo’s brother’s house and he took us inside some caves on the property.

We kayaked into the caves and then waded though water inside as we explored several caves:

Heading to another cave.

We didn’t run into any alligators this time but there are some on the property!

Yes, we got wet and muddy!

That was so much fun!

Craft Show

11/05/22

Rachel and Mom did a table together this year:

Mom did most, but not all, of the ceramic coasters. Rachel did the last one in the front row and second row on the right side.
Rachel did all the paintings except the ocean one on the top right.
Rachel did all the candles.
We made some pretty good sales and are looking forward to the next one which will be at the Y in December:

Happy Halloween!

10/21/22

Seriously awesome!
Crazy make-up and still beautiful!
Rachel’s friend also named Rachel dressed as a character in a video game (?).
Rachel and Rachel a dynamic duo!
These three are ready to go take on Halloween!

Trunk-N-Treat at the church:

The Beck family took on Samuel the Lamenite!
Our car was very popular!
Everyone loved throwing “rocks” (foam balls) at Samuel!
Hit Samuel and win a treat!
Samuel (Dad) had fun too! He even threw the rocks back although that was definitely NOT in the script!

10/28/22

The YMCA had a Trunk-N-Treat and we did another quick trunk decoration:

We passed out a lot of candy!

10/30/22

Mom and Rachel did a pumpkin painting together:

An artist at work!
Halloween Side.

Having Fun!!

10/13/22

Rachel enjoys baking and sometimes she will just make a cake just for fun:

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting – all homemade from scratch!
Yummy!

10/14/22

Lizzy was off to the school Homecoming dance:

Dancing is definitely fun!
Ready to go!

10/18/23

Mom and Lizzy had a mini photo shoot around town with thigs they like:

“Let Your Best Self Shine”!
We like this mural.
Mom loves being a personal trainer!
Lizzy absolutely loves Taco Bell!
Our entire family likes Yo3 Frozen Yogurt.
It’s a funky mural that we don’t’ really like, but it was close to the house on our way home.
We had an adventure and adventures are fun!

Hurricane Cleanup And Miniature Golf

10/08/22

Lizzy and Sullivan went to Fort Myers for a hurricane cleanup:

I got this!
There were a lot of trees down!
Lizzy got pretty good at the chainsaw work!

Awesome work Lizzy and Dad!!

While they were working hard at the clean-up Rachel and mom had to stay home this time. They decided to have a mother-daughter date at an old-fashioned diner that also has miniature golf!

There were only a few other people on the course when we arrived.
It’s actually a pretty nice miniature golf course.

It wasn’t getting pretty late but we weren’t ready to go home yet so we checked out the outside murals and enjoyed the outside area:

Look who we ran into:

We went inside the diner for a bite to eat:

Rachel liked the jukebox.
In fact Rachel liked the whole vibe of the diner.

We missed Lizzy and Dad but still managed to have fun.
