2020 Vacation Day Ten Adventure: Appalachian Trail – US 19E to Hump Mountain. 12.3 miles!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beautiful trail on a beautiful day!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The A.T.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Unnecessary (at least today) bridge.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Pretty.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Great place to take a break.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And explore.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The trail was a steady incline the entire way with some interesting features.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We went from Tennessee into North Carolina on the way up (vice versa on the way back).<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Mountain views!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Beautiful!!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Flowers too!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Friendly bee.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Gorgeous!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Along the trail.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Out onto the open climb up the mountain.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

That top peak is our destination!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The views were amazing!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Mom ran up to the top and Luna caught up to her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Spectacular! Mom said it literally brought tears to her eyes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Mountains in every direction.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Happy is an understatement!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Enjoying the wild flowers on the way back down.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
