2020 Vacation Day Five Adventure: Conasauga Falls, Bald River Falls and Panther Branch Trail Cherokee National Forest, TN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ready for the 1.3 mile Conasauga Falls trail.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Looks very inviting!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Easy down hill all the way.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Beautiful cascades along the way<\/strong>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time to cool off . . . <\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Mom saw an otter!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time to relax and enjoy the view.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

These were in the area at the falls.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There were plenty of blackberries too!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Uphill climb all the way back.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Nice hike and beautiful falls!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We happened upon this place on our drive to the next trail.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Wow! Right on the side of the road!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Waterfall joy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"

The Panther Branch trailhead is across the bridge,<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
and then a short distance down the creek.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This 4.1 mile trail had quite a few little creek crossings.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A lot of overgrown foliage.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Some pretty flowers.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Down trees.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
More down trees.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We almost gave up on finding the waterfall. We were on our way back when we heard the waterfall but we couldn’t see it and there was no path to it. So we made our own path and found this!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Not a huge waterfall, but still nice.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We enjoyed the reprieve from the overgrown trail at the waterfall.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
When Mom and Dad went down (before they brought us) to check out the waterfall Dad stepped in a very deep mud bath. We decided to purposely go in the mud!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We were happy to have actually found a waterfall for all the effort this trail required. That was quite an adventure!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
