2020 Vacation Day Three Adventure: Lowery Falls and Gee Creek Falls, Cherokee National Forest, TN.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found the trailhead and everybody is happy\u00a0\"\ud83d\ude0a\".<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This is a short hike (less than a mile) but it is supposed to be steep and rocky.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We found a nice rock formation right away.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We jumped off the trail onto the little cascades.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Lots of little cascades along the way.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There was a little bit of work here and there with some branches and trees down.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Luna wasn’t so sure about climbing up here.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
This hike turned out to be a little challenging with steep climbs and lots of rocks. We made it back down and ready to go for some more adventures.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We stopped here for some wading.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
It was a beautiful spot and we had it all to ourselves.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
I was poised with the camera waiting for a splash\u00a0\"\ud83d\udca6\".<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Now for hike #2 at Gee Creek Trail.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
A nice bridge to cross (although we had several river crossing along this trail with no other bridges to assist with crossing).<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Our happy hiking <\/strong>Patricia!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Beautiful cascades along the entire trail.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our first of several waterfalls.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Climbing is a must.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We made it to the top!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Another beautiful waterfall with an awesome swimming hole (we will go in on our way back).<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This bug is looking at you! We also saw a baby rattlesnake!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Conquering fears crossing the water on a big log.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Pretty little waterfall.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is that a snake behind you mom?!<\/strong> Nope false alarm just a stick.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Back at the swimming hole!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
