Beck Family Vacation: Day Five in the Alps\/Dolomites<\/strong>.Today we drove an hour through snow covered mountains: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were singing “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”!<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The views along the drive were amazing<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We made it to the trail head<\/strong> in the Ampezzo Dolomites Regional Nature Park on the Fanes Waterfalls Trail<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Off to see a waterfall:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The raging water below the mountains:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Right along the trail:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We got a sneak peek at the waterfall from a distance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hiked a little further to another overlook:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We hiked down a steep trail for some additional views <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was actually scarier than it looks.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We made it down<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So pretty!<\/strong> Lizzy and Dad hiked on for some closer views. Can you see Lizzy and Dad exploring?:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dad and Lizzy got even more adventurous and hiked along a ledge that had a cable to hold onto for a portion so they wouldn’t fall off!<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are brave!<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A group with helmets and climbing gear were all preparing to cross the bridge.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Mom and Rachel stayed up top taking pictures and enjoying the view:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going up switchbacks were a lot less scary than going down them:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzy made it to the top first<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pretty wildlife too:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stopped by the river for a rest break:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to do some exploring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water is incredibly clear and was rushing fast<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There were cattle wandering throughout the nature park and they were all wearing cowbells. We could hear the bells ringing as we came down the trail<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This pretty cow headed right for us. My family laughed at me because I sorta ran from her<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

At this point we took a different route back to the car<\/strong> to enjoy the water a little more:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a few steep climbs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We left our previous AirBnb and had to finish our drive to Auronzo, Italy for our next AirBnb location:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Airbnb host spoke very little English but we used a translation app. to communicate. He was very friendly<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our last Airbnb in Italy. Overlooking the Santa Caterina Reservoir. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lizzy and Rachel’s room:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mom and Dad’s room had skylights that actually open up<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time to go for a walk around Auronzo, Italy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pizza for us:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
