7\/18 – 7\/22\/2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camp Kiwanis Day One: 7\/18\/23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are going to have so much fun here!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The games and activities have begun!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
We split up by cabins and did activities.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It was a military boot camp theme this year with each cabin assigned a different branch:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel and Mom’s cabin was The Air Force.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time for the flag ceremony where were presented our flags:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzy is a YCL (Youth Camp Leader) and they were Coast Guard.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Lizzy was over the 4th year cabin.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
Rachel’s cabin: Air Force.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The cabins are air conditioned and mom has her bunk all set up like she likes it by the front door.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time to go to the fireside:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stake YW leaders had a “sword” fight.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They sang a battle song:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We sang camp songs and had a nice fireside<\/strong> activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day Two: 7\/19\/23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks Mom for braiding my hair:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time to go to flag ceremony, chow, and start the day’s activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had our cabin chants:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a full day of activities.<\/strong> We were pretty tired!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had our evening fireside at the beach during the sunset:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Day Three: 7\/20\/23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early Morning Flag:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Purple Plunger Guy (Brother Johanson) chose the winners for yesterdays chores. Good job Rachel’s cabin!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time for our cabin chants and chow time:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

After the Fourth Year Hike some of the girls went for a swim before heading back to camp:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also had one more activity for the fourth years<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust Fall!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzy was very brave!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

They caught her!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These fourth years did awesome!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day Four: 7\/21\/23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early Morning Flag :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel’s cabin won again for chores this time so they got the commode to display outside their cabin!<\/strong> It’s really early in the morning so Rachel’s smile has not awaken yet!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time for camp cheers and chow:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After our relay race competitions we enjoyed boating and swimming:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later that evening we had time in the cabins with our YCL leaders:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Day Five: 7\/22\/23<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our final flag before we get ready to pack up and go home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
