We are going to be going on vacation in a couple of months so we decided it would be good to start doing some hiking to prepare for the longer hikes we plan to take while on vacation.<\/strong> We invited Patricia to join us since she will be coming on vacation with us again this year<\/strong>. We drove back to the location that mom and dad hiked on their anniversary since they had to leave the trail early and had not completed half of the trail.<\/strong> We found the other trailhead to the Pioneer Trail in Jennings State Forest:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a beautiful day for a hike!<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Luna was very happy to be on a hike with all of us!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Florida this hike has some surprising elevation changes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We came across a small cemetery:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Water access along the way:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lizzy found a friend:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grasshoppers can be friends.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This one wanted to be friends with Luna:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Luna was not so sure about this friendship:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A tiny waterfall to cool off in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It even had a name!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We found another waterfall:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We couldn’t go up to this one (had to stay on trail at this state park):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It was still a nice place to relax and enjoy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lots of relaxing on this hike:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a hot day so cooling off in the water was nice:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone found a place to relax:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was an easy hike on a hot day. Perhaps we need a more challenging hike before we go on vacation!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was hot so we decided to stop for ice cream. No one complained:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Their ice cream was delicious!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luna is getting much better about going in water!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She doesn’t like to stay in it very long:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moms favorite tree at this hike on the road to and from the hike. You have to park less than a quarter of a mile up this road for this trailhead.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
